Hiccups to die from...

I'm hardly close to the record for having the hiccups the longest, but since we returned from dinner, 1.5 hours ago, I've had enough of them.. Certainly hoping that shortly they end, cuz holding my breath and/or any of the other old wives tales hasn't worked.

Today at jury duty, the judge was in a cranky mood because his back was obviously bothering him as it has in the past... and he wasn't being so cooperative with the attorneys, or those who came back late from lunch after being given an extra 15 minutes already.  We couldn't possibly take any more breaks in the short day of testimony that we hear and get to the end of the trial... but never fear, the judge has predicted that by Monday we will be deliberating... Of course, we only know this because two jurors explained that they have important vacations approaching and then we got the information..  There is a huge sigh of relief when he divulged the information.

I'm watching the show Duck Dynasty for the first time, it's quirky and yet I'm trying to figure out what the "duck" has to do with it. I'm guessing it is their business but so far have only seen them hanging out together and just joshing with each other and not much work goes on.. I've learned more about the "duck" business online. Willie seems to be the "character" that everybody elses character is related to.. Willie's mom, Willie's dad, brother, sis in-law, etc. check out the website it's a hillbilly kind of show with some real life hillbillies living large. The mother Kay and father are hilarious, she talks all the time and he ignores her pretty well, but pretends to be listening and yet his voice over comments are the best part. Uncle Si is the uncle who is full of one liners and comments on everything.. the interesting uncle of the bunch.
