It was a Monday that started out with a cup of coffee, and a quick shower CUZ I GOT TO SLEEP in till 8:00 am which is such a treat from the usual 4am wake up alarm. It was raining and so headed to LA having left a little later than I probably should have allowed for traffic.. but lucked out and traffic moved right along pretty much.
I arrived at the parking structure at 10:10.. hustled upstairs out into a light mist and jumped onto the "B" Dash bus. Made it to the courthouse, through security, up the slow elevators to the 11th floor with about 4 minutes to spare. Which usually means that with the delays, you only have to wait 30-45 minutes for the announcement "will the jurors for court 114 please take there seats in the juror box, please turn off all electronic devices".
But today we heard this announcement at 10:34am and actually put in what is a jurors full day; lunch from 12:00-1:30pm, break at 2:45-3:00 and done and out the courtroom door at 4:00pm. We're never going to finish with the amount of sidebars, us being asked to go into the jury deliberation room for a motion to be heard immediately or a delay the next morning which starts us even later.. We are relatively early in this case with only a couple of witnesses so far. ahhhhhhhhhh., I am so ready for this to be over and to no longer be immersed in the hood of despair..... and we still have to deliberate as a jury after they call the trial portion finished. The original schedule was to finish tomorrow and deliberate starting Wed., that seems far fetched.
Tonight I got home (or in the area at 5:00pm) and then stopped at Costco to pick up ,49 worth of three pictures for a gift ornament, and order contacts... Can you get out of Costco for any cheaper?? Picked up dinner KFC on the way home for the hungry men at home. I then freshened up the makeup and headed out the door to church for the Womens Christmas Bell program. Heard a wonder story of Carol Guscott, the Choir from Downey Calvary High School and dessert with the 300 women who attended together.
I should really start on the christmas letter but not so sure I can remember what happened in the beginning of the year to even right about... Well, I'm going to the watch the Blake Shelton Christmas program and then hit the sack in anticipation for tantalizing Tuesday.. good night..
