As the news began to cover the shooting this morning at the Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, CT. it was shocking.. an unbelievable event unfolding. The tv's at my work were on CNN and it was just something you stood there staring at the screen but unable to process what you were watching. It didn't make sense, couldn't make sense, that someone would have that much rage, and then take it upon a plan that would mow down innocent children. A world for them that should be a place of safety, fun of recess, learning, challenging their minds, opening their imagination and nothing more than whether their homework is ready to be turned in for stress.
That innocent world was shattered forever, for the children in the school, adults who were present alike and then the parents who raced to get their children from a horrific scene. Sadly 20 parents weren't able to do so.
We stand beside this community in our thoughts and prayers struggling to come to grips with the evil that occurred. Prayer is the only place we can go..
